Agri Chemical E-Fate Scientists Ph.D or MS

Senior Level Environmental Environmental Fate and Metabolism Scientists needed.

This role is USA based and requires ability to work in the USA freely, we are not currently looking outside the US for candidates.

Scope: We are seeking an individual with experience conducting and managing GLP-compliant studies of the environmental fate of agricultural products. Additionally, the candidate will have experience dealing with regulatory agencies and drafting advocacy documents, experience interacting with both commercial and science groups, and a track record of recommending actions for scientific and regulatory strategies. The candidate will provide leadership in the development of e-fate study designs for global regulations, prepare protocols and manage the conduct of studies to determine the fate of test compounds in soil, water, plants, or animals, and become versed in e-fate information from historical studies.

Major Responsibility Areas

· Coordinate e-fate and crop residue field program, animal in-life phase, and analytical phase of studies.

· Provide oversight and leadership in the development of study designs, prepare protocols, and conduct studies necessary to determine the fate of test compounds in soil, water, plants or animals (livestock).

· Have knowledge and experience in the conduct of hydrolysis, photolysis, soil degradation, mobility, crop residues, and/or animal tissue residues to meet global study requirements.

· Ensure all contract laboratory operations and record keeping are of high quality, in compliance with the GLP standards, and meet other applicable regulations.

· Evaluate and trouble-shoot procedures and methodologies for the isolation, identification, and quantification of degradation products in soil, water, plants, and animals.

· Assure that study reports are completed on a timely basis to meet study goals and/or product registration needs.

· Contribute to FQPA risk assessment scenarios. Coordinate with Risk Assessment & Modeling to complete e-fate modeling and exposure risk assessments using e-fate data and parameters.
