VP of Regulatory Affairs for Agri Chemicals

  • Manage global regulatory affairs team and advocacy activities associated with Agricultural Chemicals/ Biotechnology and new business products.
  • Coordinate and lead global regulatory team to develop global regulatory strategies and ensure timely implementation of workplan.
  • Interface with R&D and commercial organizations, develop and submit regulatory dossiers globally.
  • Provide regulatory counsel to commercial teams necessary to evaluate freedom to operate and assess time to market.
  • Develop and implement regulatory and public policy advocacy strategies as member of external industry associations.
  • Network with allies, customers, and end-users to promote stewardship goals and support regulatory objectives.
  • Manage global issues potentially impacting new or existing products in concert with multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D or other advanced scientific degree preferred with minimum of 10 years managing a Ag Chemicals/Biotechnology, regulatory and/ or government relations team, experience in Agricultural Chemical industry or Ag biotechnology industry is a must.
  • Strong technical understanding of agricultural Chemicals biotechnology and global regulatory processes.
  • Ability to analyze, assess, critically evaluate and advise commercial organization on regulatory options for novel products.
  • Demonstrated competency in assembling and submitting global regulatory dossiers for products of biotechnology and interfacing with regulatory authorities.
  • Demonstrated experience and know-how in working with government regulators and policymakers to advocate policies and positions.
  • Ability to work with and effectively lead a diverse global multifunctional team to achieve timely results.
  • Strong project management and facilitative leadership skills with ability to manage several complex global projects concurrently.
  • Demonstrated experience with regulatory advocacy and issues/ crisis management.
  • Knowledge and understanding of governmental and political processes.
  • Strong communication skills a must–job entails communication with diverse internal stakeholders (executive leadership, commercial organization, Legal, Public Affairs, Government Relations).
