Strategic Marketing Manager (Crop Protection)

General Description:

This position
will create and execute global marketing strategies and plans in support for
the business to achieve the short- and long-term objectives supporting the business
growth. This includes supporting all business units with a primary focus to
develop, identify business opportunities, create financial forecasts, develop
segment specific marketing/business plans, lead business unit branding
strategies, and work with different regions to implement strategies.
Principal
Responsibilities
:

Develop long-range marketing strategies and plans
for the global business and manage short-range objectives to meet near-term
sales and profit goals.

Analyze and interpret market research data to
identify trends and opportunities and identify adjustments to strategies
leading to sustainable and enhanced growth of business.

Partner with the Branding and Communications Manager
and provide leadership to develop and implement marketing communication
strategy, including development and management of launch campaigns and the
development of collateral material and marketing support materials.

Develop segmentation, differentiation, and positioning strategies for products.

Develop clear and actionable marketing plans for the product portfolio.

Develop and launch product positioning campaigns and collateral materials for products in support of affiliated companies.

  • Assess and evaluate unmet market
    needs in order to coordinate and facilitate regional business expansion
    projects, including those funded through the commercial development
    program.
  • Participate and provide guidance in
    the development of the annual R&D and Regulatory programs for the
    product line. Provide leadership in the development of the Bio fungicide
    platform.
  • Participate in cross-functional
    teams to achieve business and product development objectives for product
    life cycle management and new product initiatives.
  • Evaluate and assist in licensing
    and acquisition efforts to complement existing portfolio and take
    advantage of new products and market opportunities for the business.
    Primary focus to be the Bio fungicide Platform.
  • Participate in industry
    initiatives and organizations to keep abreast of the changes in the market
    place and adjust marketing strategies accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Agriculture, is
    required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in marketing in an
    agricultural field, with strong fungicide experience and a demonstrated
    knowledge and understanding of marketing, promotion and demand creation.
  • Strong background in branding, integrated media,
    and/or agricultural chemical products a plus
