The AVP Ag Market Strategy:

  • Provides strategic marketing direction and drives the customer experience, revenue and profit growth for the Ag Producer market across multiple customer segments and products.
  • Is accountable for directing, designing, and implementing comprehensive marketing, channel/experience, product, pricing and service strategies in support of the organization’s strategic business objectives to deliver customer value and create competitive advantage.
  • Drives action in the accomplishment of these strategies and assumes responsibility for the successful delivery and management of the segment and product objectives through collaboration with internal and external business units, clients, and vendors.



  1. Interprets and analyzes market research, corporate goals/strategy, segment financials and field feedback to generate effective sales-channel strategies that best support the Ag Producer Segment.
  2. Considers short-range and long-range customer experience goals, segment strategy, and revenue plan to develop and evaluate the mix of products and services, sales channels and targeting of high value sub-segments to address market and customer needs.
  3. Works with the Business Development Team and ALCO team to develop processes, recommend pricing actions, and create promotional programs, services, and products.
  4. Reviews and monitors the segment financial performance and industry direction on a continuing basis, including risks/opportunities and works to adjust priorities, marketing and product development plans, and future market research requirements.
  5. Leads and/or collaborates with cross-functional teams (sales, business technology, underwriting, finance, etc) to: a.     Plan and launch projects on time, on budget and on spec.

b.    Translate business requirements and customer needs into a best-in-class customer experience.

c.     Communicate the Ag Producer Strategy.



  • BA/BS degree in Business or Marketing, or related field.
  • 8-10 years Product Development, Customer Experience or Brand Management experience
  • At least 3 years in a leadership capacity (Director or VP level).
  • Experience in a Fortune 500 Ag marketing organization preferred.
  • Experience of Channel Management or development
  • Demonstrated experience in leading significant cross-functional initiatives.
